When I first saw them, I was like whoa! This exotic skin is so damn gorgeous. But, hey... I was absolutely wrong coz these lots are not made of lizard, snakeskin or any reptiles whatsoever. In fact they're all from the reclaimed fire hoses which has been previously deployed in active duty for up to 30 years to fight fires around the UK. What an awesome way of recycling, huh?
These collections by Elvis and Kresse are indeed an innovative way to reuse the unwanted stuff which you think has no use anymore. Instead of coiled like a dead boa at the dumping site, those guys took it and turn it into a washbag, wallets, iPhone/iPod Touch slipcases, and belts. What i like about it is they got this texture which resembles exotic skin. And these are all from re-engineered fire hoses which is truly durable and water-proof. To add to that, the lining is also from a recycled material - the reclaimed military grade parachute silk. Isn't it brilliant?
So, wanna go green? Pick these reds and yellows! Time to offset those carbon footprint, baby. :)
