Today's Formal Wear @ Engine Mag

S

I was drawn to this editorial taken from the Engine mag called Today's Formal Wear. It's very interesting to see how they define what formal wear should be nowadays. But one question that I keep asking myself, in which industry to they wear like these? Financial and banker boys? Government officers? Education? Coz those industries are normally known for their staple 2- or 3-piece suit with the tie and stuff. Yet, when I think again it doesn't really matter coz if we can get away from the norm, why not? Isn't it the time now to break away from the tradition, and start venturing into different kind of everyday clothing?

Anyway. I love the editorial where Robert Rae models it in different pieces from various designers. My own picks? Prada overcoat which is like a body-armour; Burberry Prorsum suit which is supersoft when I happen to touch it on the mannequin at Harvey Nicks recently; fleece jacket by Brooks Brothers; Gucci head to toe; and Hermes scarf - which happen to be worn by Jude Law in the premiere of Sherlock Holmes @ Leicester Sq.

Gucci cardi... mmmm.... tempting!

Love this Prada jacket, which is like a body-armour.

I actually not a big fan of fleece. But if it look this damn good,
hey..I'm totally diggin' it!

Rock! Rock! Rock! Loving this devilicious look!
(Hmm. I think I've mentioned that Gucci cardi before...)

Is it just me who think the same scarf is worn by Jude Law before?
