David by Michealangelo Apron

S
I always love something quirky coz sometimes it can be used to spice up any bland outfit that I'm wearing or the interior of my house. And talking about my big fat house, I got this apron quite long time ago when I went to Florence, Italy back in 2005. You know Florence is the place to visit if you wanna see the immaculate scupltures by the Renaissance artists like Michealangelo, Donatello and Giambologna at Piazza della Signorio. They got many, many sculptures, and one of them is the statue of David by Michealangelo. Yes, the naked man which they said is the representation of what an archetype body is all about - a great proportions from top to toe (really?)

And my apron got part of David on it. Yep, the torso and stuff sans the head and hands. When someone put it on... well, hello - you know what you got isn't it? Ahaks! My sis in law was quite embarassed to wear it coz the statue really show the genitalia part of a man. I think it's funny coz this quirky apron really put a 'spark' in my kitchen. It takes a real man to bravely wear that apron. Lol! Where to buy it? At some market near the train station in Florence.

Oh, fyi Florence is also the place to buy leather things - from purses and wallets to belts and bags. They're splendid. And that's why Gucci is born in Florence! =)

Sorry guys, I have to blank out the ... ehem.. part.
Otherwise it'll be too obscene in this blog. Hehehe...
