McQueen's Clamity Gladiator

S

Ah, finally I get the chance to free my foot from being trapped and crammed inside the boots all day! I can't imagine how long that my foot has been in boots and lace-ups while in London since the weather doesn't allow me to do so, or I'll risk my foot getting the frostbites. Yikes! Now I'm rocking in my sandals - both in my gladiator and slip-ons - free to let those feet to breath and take in the warm weather that the country has to offer. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Just the other night that my niece who studied somewhere in the East Coast moaning that her foot in so much pain coz she got to stand in her shoes - a proper one, with heels I supposed, not sandals - for almost 8 hours, and said it really hurts. Well, all I can say is, that 8 hours is nothing compared to 16 hours (well, that how long I'm in my shoes while in London) that I have to be in and to move around, walking here and there regardless of discomfort at times. Not to mention on the sore that made the toe look a bit darker (erks!). But no complains. And that's what a true Londoner, isn't it? No pain, no gain! Ahaks! =)

Anyway. Talking about sandals, I just love gladiators as always. When I bring out my Poste gladiator sandal that I bought last year at Office from my bag, my other niece said you look like the Romans. Lol! Well, that's the whole point, getting that gladiator look anyway. So, moving on... I love this editorial pix featuring Francisco Lachowski for T.I for Men. Not about the tops and pants though, but the sandals he's wearing. It's Alexander McQueen's for SS10 - codenamed: Clamity. It really rocks coz the the laces adds a little bit of edge to the normally a bland gladiator. And it also got that ribcage feel to it, just like the McQueen's for Puma ribcage trainers that I happened to buy last Summer sale. Mentioning McQueen, you'll see his trademark - the skull prints - on the sole as well. Oh, it's leather btw.

Where to get it? At Oki-ni or Alexander McQueen's online shop. But if the pricetag is too much to bear, wait for H&M to release quite a similar copy pretty soon. :)
