You know, the girls always invade our wardrobe, raided everything and make it theirs. Like the boyfriend jacket and boyfriend jeans - isn't it the origins came from us, men? Yeah it does! But for the blokes to do the same on the girls closet, well... that'll be a different story then. We can't just simply took the camisole and make it our vest, or take the frock and make it our tops - otherwise we'll be mistaken for doing a cross-dressing. Lol! So unfair.
But now, for some gender equality it seems that one piece of accessories can be taken from the ladies and make it ours too. It's the USB - ultra skinny belt. If you look at some women in the city, the USB is part and parcel to accentuate the waist and make it look much more chic. Ala Jil Sander or Victoria Beckham's collection. When I said USB, I mean the one that is less than 1 inch wide, some even less than a typical skinny belt that I used to get one at Burton for just £6. Yes, they are pushing the limit coz it can came across as if you're just wearing a string instead.
Well, i'm not just saying it for the sake of gender equality coz apparently it's been sashayed on the catwalk too by some of the big fashion houses like Dior Homme and DKNY during the Spring/Summer 2010 catwalk shows. It's not that bad to wear an USB since it'll make you look much more edgy. It's all about choosing the right one btw - the correct proportion and color - so that it doesn't look too 'lady-like'. I really like the one by Dior coz the simple look is always the best one to wear.
So guys, isn't it time to nick your girlfriend's belt then? =)
