Ready for a dash of fall/winter collection? Summer has not even started but that doesn't mean that you can't forecast what you're gonna wear for next fall 2010. For that Gucci has given the new Fall/Winter 'Classics' 2010 catalog which is now available online. What am I seeing here? Synonymous with the sombreness of fall season, the color palette appear somewhat subdued with the hues of earth tones like tan, dark chocolate and brown. Yet, there's also a hint of luxe colors like urban greys and midnight blues added to the collection which add some pizzazz to lift the mood.
As of the clothes, it's still very Frida Giannini written all over it - lots of slim silhouette. But what I like is that they're somewhat stayed away from the rock-n-roll look, and more to urban chic with modern, relaxed and body-skimming outfits. In the footwear department, lots of exotic skin being used - from the ostrich zippered boots to the croc leather being used in full for the lace-up derby or partly on the toe-cap. And the bags, they're somewhat very simple - kinda emphasizing what the 'classics' catalog is all about.
But one thing that I truly adore and love about this catalog is the location where the photoshoot is held. In a mansion where there's a fusion of classic and modern, rustic and contemporary - a truly symbiosis that defines this collection too.
One key item to die for: the diamante scarf. I think it's gonna be a big trend next Fall/Winter.
