SHORTLIST Style: Pattern Shirts

S
I was at One Utama mall in KL a couple of weeks ago when I stumbled upon a very nice floral shirt at Key Ng store. Key Ng is one of local designers who like to do a fusion of East-meet-West which I think made the clothing more edgy. And that floral shirt that I was talking about is new collection for Spring/Summer 2010 that is quite awesome. I love the fabric - which I think a cross between a typical cotton and tissue fabric. No, not the tissue paper, silly - but kinda fabric which I used to call it tissue coz it's quite soft to the touch. And it's not too thick which is great for summer. The floral design and the cut of the shirt is what I love the most. Supernice. And I love that the sleeves is almost three-quarter which can be rolled up to make it shorter. Brilliant. The salesgirl asked me to try it, but I refused to do so. I said, I want to, but I don't coz I may buy it! But the truth is... the battery of my camera is out, so I can't take the pix to put in here to show how nice the shirt is. Or, maybe... yes, I may end up buying anyway. Lol!

Btw, print shirts are always making a big wave for summer. Whether it's the Liberty florals, or modern cubic or retro pattern - this coming summer anything goes. And it seems that some even go way back to the 70s during the days when flower power made its mark in fashion. Like the one by Tom Ford, which I think quite a dandy. But I personally like the one by Richard James with all the flowers, it looks very fun and so summery (I think the flowers are a hybrid between hibiscus and jasmine, ahaks!). Isn't that what we all want in summer - be happy! :)
