At first I dunno what's the point of people wearing a neckerchief. Is it just for the sake of style coz you can look a little bit mod ala 50s, 60s with it? Or to look a bit rock & roll, coz some of them wears 'em during rock concerts? Or does it really has other 'function' apart from making you look a tiny bit stylish? Well, to asnwer the questions I put it to a test - wearing it in this hot and humid weather coz there's guaranteed that sweats will creep around the neck in this kind of climate. I have the chance to try my neckerchieves that I previosly bought - one from Asos in polka dots, and the other is the paisley-print from Divided @ H&M.
So, the verdict? It does what it says on the tin - sorbing the sweat indeed and preventing the collar from stain. Easy peasy. I think it helps a lot especially when I'm wearing white tops like white shirt and jacket. Probably because the materials are cotton, so that's why it can do the job pretty well. Enuff said. :)
Oh, I showed the H&M one to my nephew while we're on a day out. He seemed to like the idea of neckerchief thing, so he nicked it from me instead. Since it's a tad bigger - small for me to make it as bandana, but big enough for him - he wrapped it around his forehead to look like that Karate Kid boy. Lol. Oh, at another occasion he wrapped the neckie on the arm without anyone asking him to. Very creative. Which kinda reminds me of what one of the blog readers, M, used to mentioned to me about what he did with the scarves in my previous post. So, that's what an armdana looks like, huh? Brilliant. =)
