10 Little Things to Make You Smile =)

S

1. Think about one of your favorite TV shows growing up. One of mine was "I Love Lucy." Rent or watch an episode sometime this week.

2. Google "things to make you smile" and look at the image results. Some are plain pathetic or terribly corny, but something is sure to make you smile.

3. Pull out an old photo album of yourself or your kids. Find one where you either look really goofy or your kids look really cute.

4. Go to an ice cream store or coffeehouse and order one of your favorite things.

5. See who in your family can make the funniest face. Can you make a taco with your tongue? Can you touch your nose with your tongue? Can you wiggle your ears?

6. Write down a list of specific things and people you are thankful for today.

7. Are you upset with your messy house? Picture that Martha Stewart's house looks like that too.

8. Call a good friend and let him or her know how much you appreciate him/her.

9. Do something you enjoy today. Read a book. Walk outside. Visit a garden. Exercise.

10. Have a watermelon eating contest with your friends or family.

There are countless other things you can do from holding a baby to swinging in a playground. Your memory can take you to places like Disneyland as a child. Your legs can take you to new experiences just around the corner. Keep finding reason to smile and you'll stay young in the process. And isn't that something to smile about!
