An unexpected discovery at my local Tesco Metro a couple of weeks ago. When I was checking out some smoothies at the 'fast food' section, I just can't believe to found some new drinks by one of my fav coffee chain. It's the Starbucks Discoveries range which is the latest 'instant' coffee that had joined the bandwagon alongside other brands on the shelf.
They come in three different flavors - the Mocha Latte Chocolate, the Seattle Latte and the DoubleShot (Expresso + Milk) coffee - all packaged in a ready-to-go cups and can. Size? I think it's about the 'tall' size if you get one in store.
My verdict? If you ever taste any iced caffe latte or iced caffe mocha in any Starbucks store, then it's almost the same as that since they fall under the same 'cold drinks' category. I said almost... coz I think all of these drinks taste kinda similar to me (except for DoubleShot that's has more coffee!). If someone put side by side to have a guess which one's which, I might say - they're all the same! Yet, I do prefer the Mocha one since it's a wee bit chocolatey than the others.
But anyhow, it's kinda cool to these Starbucks that are ready-to-go especially when you're in dire need of a caffeine shot should all the nearby Starbucks already closed! Price? About £1.50 each. Kinda pricey for its tiny size (but much cheaper if you get a similar iced mocha in-store...).
