Something for the ladies.
This season the trend has Mad Men written all over the catwalk. Championed by Louis Vuitton and Prada for Fall/Winter 2010/11, the designers are celebrating the women of curves. Hourglass or guitar-like figures seen on Christina Hendriks that made a huge headlines in the news, the 50s and 60s style is making a big fad in the womenswear these days. I have to say it's my most fav period coz 50s/60s are truly the era where womenswear really accentuates the sense of femininity. A slight bodice top, hugging waistline and flowy train - dresses in those yesteryears looks truly magical.
Latest to join the bandwagon is Sir Paul Smith with his rendition of Mad Men-inspired sleeveless dress in black with red water roses. The color combination works wonders. I love the tulle underskirt that give a bounce to the skirt and made it appears like a modern day Cinderella dress (but a shorter version, that is). Really beautiful.
