Red splash xmas @ Occhi

Occhi store at Prurri Athens is getting ready for the festive season. As from this coming Sunday (5/12) and just to get you in the festive mood, Occhi invites you to join them for some red wine (Sunday 5th of December from 14.00 - 20.00). Their theme is "red splash". 'Wear or hold something red to match the red wine' says the email that's just landed. Occhi doesn't sell online right now, but you can always have a peep at some xmas pressies ideas, here.

Group hug

Out for a drink and I'm faced with this tee - owner confirms it's BSB. Around half past late, friend wants to know what's it about. Clearly it's about loving a bunch of folks called Stella, Tom, Marc and Viv.

Dry socks

Since Monday started with this, allow me to shock you with my socks:
My old Happy Socks, still looking happy as new after a year and a half. And obviously they go through a lot.

And these are my new ones, currently keeping me and my feet happy.

What's with the blow-dryer? Come on, don't tell me you were never in a hurry to get your socks dry! This will give you dry socks in less than 2 minutes but a) socks must not be soaking wet - you don't want to be electicuted and b) you have to start and stop the blow-dryer every few seconds or it may burn out - ok, it's not made for drying socks.

Cyber Monday at Tsantilis

Today is not any Monday, it's Cyber Monday*, and Tsantilis eshop has sent me a reminder, as well as the announcement that they are joining the concept with a 20% off all e-sales. Sharing:

Meet Lux, age 24, from Orange County, California. She’s been playing drums for half of her lifetime now and her skills are in high demand. Currently on tour with the Nekromantix and Rob Zombie, Lux is no slouch behind the kit.

Girls Can’t WHAT? recently touched base with Lux and through a series of emails, I’ve been able to piece together this sweet little interview. Lux was also gracious enough to provide us with photos from a recent promotional video shoot.

GCW: What is your main passion and describe when you first became interested in it.

Lux: I started playing drums when I was 12 and it was by chance. It was because my parents had put me and my two sisters in a music school and picked drums for me so that we could start a band together. They put my eldest sister on vocals and guitar and my other sister on keyboard. The moment I knew I really wanted to play drums was when I had to give it up and switch over to keyboard. We had brought in another member to take over on drums and I remember being so jealous of him playing drums I used to play and missing it so bad. I knew from that point on that drums is what I wanted to play.

GCW: I can totally identify with loving the drums! Have you ever been told you “can’t” because you are a girl? What did you do about it?

Lux: For a while, while growing up, my mom would say I couldn’t stay out late because I’m a girl. This is very common in traditional Mexican families and staying out late just comes with playing in a rock band. I had to constantly talk to my mom and let her know I was ok in order for her to be ok with it. I think she was just worrying as any normal parent would because I’m her “little girl”. I’m the youngest of 3 sisters.

GCW: Yes we all know women become instantly defenseless when the sun goes down – LOL. Well you certainly do know how to play and all that late-night gigging has paid off for you. This drum solo video is hot!

GCW: Do you have a favorite event or memory?

Lux: We recently played at the Hollywood Palladium on Halloween night about a week ago and so far it has been my favorite show on our Tour with Rob Zombie. We played a 40 minute set in front of a huge crowd, at least 3,000 people and the show was amazing! I had been sick on this night with a little fever and bronchitis but I just remember still rockin’ out and feeling accomplished once I got through it. During our set, I spotted a girl in the front of the crowd who was holding up a sign that read “Drum Stick”. I love it when fans bring signs to shows so after our set I tossed a couple sticks in her direction. It was overall a fun night!

Ta-ta! This year's edition of my xmas shopping list (personal saviour) is ready. Whether they involve money spending or not, last minute gifts are a pain so this is what I've come up with to tackle this very important issue:) This way I leave none out and stick to budget. Too early? No it's not, especially if you are planning to shop online - think delivery times. Feel free to use it, you'll thank me later.

*There's a slight change from last year's list: 'Done' column is now 'money left', which makes more sense. Ol' strike-through is unbeatable + maths was never my strong point!

Then,aku punye plan plak pegi KARAOKE bcz aku kempunan nk karaoke!

Sebab aku dah kegilaan dan ketaksuban aku dengan karoke.so dorg membontot aku!

Bhaha,habis 40 rnggt karoke en enn :)

Bar comedy on Sunday

It's only a few hours before Ooh! La! La! kicks off and yesterday was a good day to pay rehearsals a visit. I tell you this bar comedy is avenging all childhood fairytales that hunted your adult life with their perfect happy endings. Sleeping Beauty waited too long for prince charming to find her and blow that kiss and now he's marrying someone else. Hell, I knew it all along, nothing good could come out of so much sleep! Snow White and Cinderella get the treatment too. Nevertheless, it all resumes to an ending that's, well, happy!

A "kinky" fairytale for grown-up kids (see wow shoes courtesy of EroSart sex shop), had to be told where they frequent around bedtime and that's Swing Bar, Gazi. It was fun watching a play at such unconventional settings. Bar comedy is a close cousin to stand-up and I can say I like the family. It's direct, casual and always a safe laugh with the bar at close distance:)

(can't get over the headspeaker, have put down a request for it come the end of the season)

Ooh! La! La! starts this Sunday, November 28th at 21:00, a good excuse to end this weekend among friends, booze and a laugh at those lucky ducks that used to get the prince by default. Here's a shout out by the cast:

But whatever it is I think these red 'tulip' dresses looks amazing. Aku pun order lah ape benda ntah,tapi ade chesse kat tepi die.

Perghh,sumpah sedap bangat dehhh,tapi aku nak muntah makan CHEESE die :)
Maklum lah,aku tak berapa suke makan CHEESE nie.Hahaha.

Lepas makan pizza terus balik rumah.

Then,hujan plak dah.aku baru berhajat nk melepak mlm nie dgn kawan ucuk acam.Hishh.

Tapi tkpe,hujan2 pun aku pegi lepak jugak lah kan...
