First Look at +J Collection @ Uniqlo

To all labels freak, mark your calendar. +J - the Jil Sander-Uniqlo collaboration will hit stores from Oct 1st. And now judging from the look of some of the collection, my excitement start to wane a bit. Why? Well, the first time they released the ad campaign featuring Sean O'Pry, it does look amazing. I think I want all of them! Probably becoz they are putting a male supermodel up there, perhaps? But when some pix are released into some Japanese mag and the blogosphere too, does it somehow felt... hmmm is this what we're supposed to be expecting? Quite plain (?).

Well, Ok. Jil Sander's signature would always be minimalistic chic. I agree, no doubt. But I am expecting more fun injected to Uniqlo just like what the brand did in their Fall/Winter 09 collection. Like waist-hugging coat and body-con blazers, for example. Isn't that edgy? And that's what we need during this credit crunch climate - highs quality signature designer pieces at highstreet prices. Yet, these are only some of the pieces, hopefully more is going up their sleeves, perhaps? :)

One thing for sure, I'm gonna get those cardi, crisp white shirt and grey blazer. A true Jil Sander signature! It's 3 more weeks to go!! And oh, there'll be another +J in Spring '10. So don't worry if some of you didn't get this time around.
