I love wearing a good old denim shirt coz it looks very masculine. The fabric and cut of a denim shirt would set you apart if you wear one since not everyone could look better in it. One thing I realised about a chambray or denim shirt is that not all can flatter your figure since the material can varies from one to another. Failure to find a good one will make you look quite boxy if the material is tough and thicker. And the cut on the shoulder especially, is the one that's crucial since it can make you appear sharp and smart or even brings your look down.
You can see my previous encounter on denim shirts here, here and here. In my wardrobe I just had 3 pairs - which is considered not too bad - since it's not easy for me to find a good one. My fav is the River Island denim shirt in slightly washed denim which I think is the most brilliant of all, though to wear it during a 'high summer' like in here - particularly in the scorching 37 degree humid weather - I really have to think twice to put it on. Maybe just to pair it with a good pair of cropped trousers would be okay to give a better look (and airy too) if I walk around in the hot, sunny climate.
In the previous issue of SHORTLIST there's some new denim shirts in town for you to choose - from the raw denim to washed version to lighter chambray - depending on how you wanna stretch your wallet. The key is always in the fit.
