Being Transparent @ Jil Sander

S
Raf Simons always brought some fresh new ideas to the house of Jil Sander. For the previous two consecutive runway shows, he has injected colors to the SS11 and FW11 collection bringing a sense of fun and optimism to the otherwise too plain and simple clothes. For Spring/Summer 2012, he did it again with quite a great collection which somehow has a school vibes to it.

Of all the clothes that came out on the runway, I love these pieces which I think is very nice and give some aha! factor. The transparent plastic jackets, which is a brilliant take on the typical raincoat that you wear during the heavy downpour. Just be honest, don't you feel very disappointed that every time you wear your nice suits or nice tops when you go out, nobody on the street could see them coz you need to wear the stupid raincoat to cover up in the rain? Well, not anymore coz with these Jil Sander's rainjacket it'll definitely give you a new solution.

Some other pieces which I think is fashion worthy are the knitted tops, in short and long sleeves. Is it macrame? Maybe yes, maybe not. But whatever it is, there's a lot of craftmanship has been put in making these nice sweaters.
