Manufactum Cardboard Luggage: Travel in Retro, Economista-Style

S
For most economista, we can just dream to own one of those Louis Vuitton Alzer or Bisten. With the uber hefty tag (from £2K above), buying one would equal to feeding a small third world country. For for less heftier, there's always the Globetrotter travel case that could play the part too.

Well, for economista like moi, these lots from Manufactum looks kinda great too. Comes with 2 color choices - black and red; the suitcases from Manufactum is made of cardboard. But don't underestimate the power of the paper coz this suitcase is made since 8 decades ago in Czech Republic. The side-pieces are studded while the corners and edges are reinforced with metal. They also got wooden strips fixed on the outside to give stability, and the larger cases have solid wooden frames on the inside too. Locks and handles are made of steel with inner lining of paper. They also comes in different sizes like in the pix.

Very cool, very classy for any uber stylish economista. Now you can start dreaming to travel ala Indiana Jones. And if the design couldn't tempt you, wait till you see the price. Starts at £16 for the smallest one, to £30 for the largest!
