Yesterday is one of the most hectic day of the week again. Though every Thursday I have to work my ass of at other uni to finish up the ever demanding 'requirement' for my project, one thing that I love is the return of the 'Shopping Evening' on this day again. After the previous Vogue's FNO, West End stores keep on offering Thursday late shopping again which I think is a brilliant idea.
Btw, last nite I attended the SHORTLIST event at River Island. I am truly an avid follower of Shortlist free weekly mag. So, when they did the shopping evening - I can't help but to jump in too. (You jump, I jump... as in Titanic said, ahaks!).
So, what's hot? Nothing. Well, not really nothing coz there're quite something happening in the store. First, I'm part of the SHORTLISTed people. I love going to this kind of events coz my name is always on the top of the list. Yeah, why not - coz my surname is Abdullah. Go figure, right? Then we're all being given this two shiny coin-lookalike tokens for the drink and pies. Hmm... booze? Though the one who serve the drinks are rollergirls in shiny hot pants, but...sorry, I don't drink honey. Pie? Looks good, but can't eat them either. So, i just roam around then. Trying to figure what I can snap since we're all given 20% off purchase of all items.
Other things happening? Some people trying their luck in the computer games in the circular pod. And there's some live band too. Like other shoppers who're wandering around trying those clothes and shoes and accessories, I'm too caught up with all what-I-wanna-get stuff that I can't bother to snap any photos; though the organizer do ask us to take our own pix and posted them to their web for chances to win £200 RI vouchers. Hmmm... still. Can't be bother.
With any purchase, shoppers will get goodie bag worth £40. And I got mine too. But £40 worth of goodies? Are you f**king kidding me? Just a cotton shopper Union Jack bag +one King of Shave shaver inside. Dude, you're just joking right? I'm totally gonna return my jacket back to the store and get my refund. Lol!
On the way home, there's loads of people at Oxford Circus. Not just there, but the whole entire Oxford Street too. Me walking through the crowds felt like a tiny little sperm trying to get lucky and reach the ovum. You know what I mean? So crowded, congested and bumping around with other people. Damn. I don't know how tomorrow's gonna be when the whole street is closed for the VIP Day. And getting to the Tube is another story. Whassup with those stupid European tourists who came to London? Can't you read 'Stand On The Right' sign when you stand on the escalator?? Comprenez-vous? Comprendere? Compreender? You fool!!
