Highstreet Vs. High End: Croc Hobo...

S
Ready for some retail therapy? Alas after quite sometimes in this hot country I finally get the change to get my first taste on the 'highstreet' shopping here. Well, let me just clarify first that there's not so much 'highstreet' stores in here - though we do have Topman, French Connection and Gap - just to mention a few familiar names from the UK, alongside the other brandnames like Seed, Padini, Giordano and G2000. They kinda ok too though you can't get many choices especially the slim jeans like the one at Uniqlo. Anyhow... I've already got so many jeans, so no need to get more. Ahaks!

Btw, the one that I really love about shopping in Asia is in the accessories dept. They totally rocks coz the choices here are a lot too. Especially the bags. And talking about one, I always envy those students from Hong Kong and Taiwan at my old college in London, coz they got themselves great bags which I can't find at any highstreet stores back there. IMO, all the bags which some of them looks way much cooler than the designer one, is all bought back here in Asia.

Anyway, mentioning bag, I've said that i like the hobo bag coz I wanted some variety in my collection. In my previous blog I even modified my old messenger bag into a hobo and it's totally awesome. Now, I found a proper one for men - without having to go to that DIY route again. It's from SEED, a mock croc hobo with studded handle. I love the size of the bag, very roomy and I can store my netbook plus my DSLR without any problem. The studded handle is adjustable and can be detached too. Price? About RM100 (which made it around £20!). Quite affordable in here, and way too affordable if compared against pound sterling. =)

Oh, did I mention that it really looks like a spitting image of the Gucci hobo in last FW09 collection. Except that Seed's doesn't have that braided chain. Apart from that, it does looks the similar. :)
