I have tons of black shoes. Make it more than 30 pairs, I think I can create my own 'black shoes' kingdom. I dunno why I keep on getting the same color. Probably it's a safe bet since black shoes can be paired with almost anything (read: almost). Which is then became a 'comfort territory' by which if I get some non-black ones, I probably freak out coz I dunno with what I'm gonna pair it it.
But lately, I started to 'branch out' the shades of my shoes since some of the outfit that I'm wearing, especially the pants, are now in various colors. And it won't go well with black footwear which make it look kinda funny if done so. And one of the color is dark brown - the Chelsea boots that I bought @ Emporio Armani. I have to say it's my first brown-colored shoes that I've ever bought and it's clearly a massive winner. Why? They stand out. Wearing it with jeans, omg... it looks awesome. I never know how awesome it is coz it took me to another level of style which I never knew I can pull off. But I did. As GQ said, brown shoes up the style factor. And I think you should try too. =)
Anyway. This is what GQ said the rest about brown shoes. I think I should give it a try on other shades of brown to see the the real impact...
