I actually love how they photograph this shoe. Quite a punchy pix coz it somehow make the shoe became the center of attention despite of all the frivulous thing happening around it (the cord, the machinery stuff, I mean). But anyway, this is a lace-up boots from Loake - which brand is one of the big players in the 'brogue' arena in UK alongside Grenson and Trickers. So well-known for the high quality shoes and so quaintessential British craftsmanship.
And they've release this Burford Two, another classic brogue boot design. Hand-finished in England, this masterful piece of footwear takes on tan burnished calf leather with Goodyear-welted leather soles and the stellar quality synonymous with Loake. At a glance it reminds me of the brogue lace-up boots that I saw at French Connection before. The color is like a caramel candy and looks very tempting indeed.
Price? Well, at least this one is cheaper than the brogue at Kurt Geiger. Priced at £179.90, they are now available at Son Of a Stag.
