I haven't been to Ikea for years. Ehem, I probably slightly exaggerated there - it's only about two years I haven't stepped my foot at any Ikea stores. Although my house in London is just 10 minutes away to Ikea Edmonton, I dare not going there anymore. Not that i have nothing to buy at Ikea - I do - but the fact that I have no place to put all the stuff that I buy in my tiny bedsit there, which made me think twice whether I should visit the store or not. And also I hate to carry lots of things from the shuttle bus to the Tube and to walk all the way after the purchase. I remember one time I have to go back and forth for about three times in less than 5 hours, to carry the kitchen cabinet which I then transformed into my study desk. Brilliant idea, yes it is... but it's so damn tiring for not having your own transportation then. :(
But finally, after these years I got to do it again in my own comfort - driving in my own SUV to Ikea. In my compact SUV that is, and it's damn great. I'm quite ecstatic to see lots of new things at Ikea, plus some of the furniture has been reduced in price compared to the last time I saw 'em. Totally awesome. And the best thing, since I'm an Ikea Friends here (and I'm also an Ikea Family member back in London), I got free coffee and a discounted Swedish meal of the day! I love the meatballs with the splendid gravy and cranberry sauce. So delish!!! =)
