I wrote about this luggage last November after seeing it at other blogs too. And finally it's being featured in the latest issue of Shortlist mag. The object of lust - Hermes 'Orion' case is a true beauty. Simplicity chic that doesn't just store your clothes for your travel, but it looks damn hot! Understated but so fantabulous. The color combo is delish to see - brushed anodised aluminium shell while the interior surface is reinforced with carbon and Kevlar with tan cowhide inner lining and trims. A perfect 'friend' to be carried around during that uber stylish adventure. Would you carry this in that economy class? Erm.. probably not. At least in the Club Class, yes...
Now, a little bit of the origin for the name 'Orion'. It seems to continue from the legendary Greek mythology Hermes himself. Fyi, Hermes was the Olympian god of herds, travel, trade, heraldry, language, athletics and thievery - that's what I read from somewhere. And Orion is one of the mortal offspring that was conceived by three gods - Hermes, Poseidon and Zeus - who urinated upon a bull's hide and buried it in the earth, to grow an earth-born infant. So, is that why cowhide appears in the luggage - that remains a big enigma, ahaks! And mentioning Greek gods, I would dare not to ask my ex-housemate, Nikos, whether 'do you worship Zeus?' which I did a couple of years ago. Otherwise I'll get a big slap. Lol! (How ignorance I am then.. nggg)
Btw, if I can only find £5030 to pay for this Orion then.... :)
