So there I am making my first stop at H&M. Yes, always at H&M coz they always stock new things week by week. That'll probably their secret of getting the customers visiting the stores. And what did I try this time?
The military jacket seen in their ad campaign. Looks good? Yeah, with the buttons galore and great color combo. But it's not all of that too. Fabric is great, but the fitting is bad. Though it hangs nicely slightly on the hip, it doesn't really hugs it. I felt like wearing a cropped raincoat instead. And the neck doesn't really wraps snuggly. But one thing that I love is the little details on the inner lining. Great multistripe, making it looks fun. Worth buying? Not for me!
On to the next piece - the baseball jacket. I love the color of grey/graphite combo. And the material is tweed - the fabric of the season. Better texture than River Island's. I like the snap button, which is a traditional for baseball jacket. But there's always something to make it 'uh-oh'. Though the fit is great, the balooning shape somehow made me look like I'm 6-month pregnant. (though men never get pregnant, except that guy from the States, :D). So I can say, from the chest up, the jacket is great. Chest down - sorry, it's bad.
There are two pieces that I picked. One is this £20 indigo slimfit jeans. And there's two oh-my-God moment. First, oh my God, the fabric is just fab. Love the texture which is very classy and expensive. It's great. But the second oh-my-God is really the bad one. When I tried my usual size, oh my God... the waist is 2 inches larger! Yikes. Then I tried the smaller size. But it tends to squeeze the butt to almost flat! Nggg....not good. Wearing jeans is always about the butt, mate. When the bottom is not popping out, then the denim is way out of order (to me at least, lol).
The second denim is better. It's the £30 twisted jeans. The color is not my cuppa tea, but the overall fit and design is great. Would I get this one? Next question please... lol!
So after a quickie trip hopping stores, I ended grabbing nothing. Feeling quite washed out I made my way back home. At least I don't burn my wallet.
And oh, earlier I supposed to be seeing Jamie Dornan @ House of Fraser. Since I'm already 3 hours late which means he's already gone gone gone; there's something else interesting happens at the store. The '9 Countries 9 Men' audition by Calvin Klein. Looking for 9 men from different countries for their new ad campaign. Do I went for audition? Haha..is that supposed to be a joke? I don't have the body like these guys who handed out some flyers outside the store clad in nothing but CK undie. Otherwise... who knows? Lol!
