SHORTLIST Style: Bill Amberg Marlow Tote

S

Bill Amberg to me is now becoming a quintessential British in term of fashion accessories. With their signature Boston bag, alongside Tug, Clipper and Lug that already a hit seasons after seasons, the craftsmanship of their bags is second to none. Though they might look simple, but the use of the bridle leather and high quality cotton canvas is really something not to be taken lightly if you wanna keep it for ages. I always love Bill's bag and always check 'em out either at their store or online.

Latest to the addition is this tote bag which is featured in the latest issue of Shortlist. Codenamed: Marlow. It looks utterly delicious in the dark chocolate croc printed leather with suede lining. I love the braided leather shoulder strap which you can detach should you wanna carry it just as it is. If you're happen to be BA's fan (like moi), you should've known that most of his bags use less metal hardware except for some studs (and of course, zippers in some). And this one is not an exception too coz the shoulder strap and the enclosure is all done via the multiholes studs.

Price? Since this is quite exclusive, expect to pay a whopping £850! But if dark choc croc is not yor thing, there's also the au naturel one in similar design.

Oh, talking about their store, it's sad to hear that Bill Amberg has closed their store at Westfield as well as at Westbourne Grove (and Bicester Village too). I was quite surprise to see they're empty when I try to get some bags at both locations. Now, you can find 'em at Royal Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly (just beside Royal Academy of Arts) coz it's the only store that is left in London. While you devour the beauty of Bill Amberg's craftsmanship, don't forget to enjoy the beauty of the Arcade as well. =)
