Seeing double? Absolutely. It seems that the Gucci ensemble for Spring/Summer 2011 - ultramarine top, scarlet pencil skirt, worn with a golden tassle belt - is becoming a hot item for the editorial spread in fashion mags. The first one I saw is worn by Lara Stone on the cover of French Vogue, complete with an OTT make-up ala 70s and wavy side tresses. Across the English Channel, about 2 hours from Paris by Eurostar.... I saw another one - the same dress worn by Ravinder Bhogal in last week's issue of ES Magazine. Ravi who, you ask? I dunno, coz I don't give a damn really...nggg...
Anyway. One thing I just realize, not only both wear the same dress - they have lack of attitude in rocking the look. Honestly both look kinda bland. There's no magic whatsoever. I dunno what it is, but it just seems wrong!
That's one thing about Gucci, you do need the right attitude to wear the brand. Unlike others, I think Gucci really exudes sensuality splendour when you put it on. Wrong attitude, no sensuality. Like these pixs...(yikes!).
Anyhow, I think Lara looks better in any dresses by the French fashion houses; Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton... probably will do her more justice.
What do you think?
