Can fashion change the mood? Absolutely. Likewise, mood can also change my fashion sense as well. Sometimes I can feel going OTT in all high-end designer gear, the next day I can just rock it in highstreet brand without thinking much. And that's the 'important' of having many things in the closet - so that you can have variety in choosing thing which goes with what in that particular day. Or better yet, the one that your mood feel like it.
Just like previously I decided to bring my LV Tadao bag to the office, and pair it with my Gucci shoes to complete the designer look. High-end? Almost... only to the accessories department coz the clothes are highstreet. I love the bag coz it's pretty roomy - and I can just chuck anything inside without any problem. The handles are quite okay since I can sling it on the shoulders too if it is too heavy to hand-carry it.
The next day I suddenly decided to go highstreet - and bring my crazy studded tote from Seed. The theme of the day is actually rustic... that's why the fabric is washed out grey denim. It's pretty simple, yet a colleague next to my office said hey, you got stones on your bag!, refererring to the 'jewels' ornamenting the edges of the tote.
Anyhow, my everyday companion regardless of what kind of bag I'm carrying that day is these two lots - my Gucci laptop case and the YSL canvas tote. They're the loyal ones in my bag, day in day out. I think you've seen it so many, many times. And it seems that I need to find some new replacement for them, otherwise I'll risk of overusing it which can lead to 'highly worn-out' (and appear 'vintage'!).
In case you're wondering, the YSL tote I got it free last 2008 during the Manifesto giveaway by YSL. I think it's the best design they did coz after that the fabric is a bit blah. I got three of them - two blacks and a white - which I got from the girls that handing it off at Oxford Street, London. I find it quite cool... and of course I used it as a substitute for the plastic bags. Saving the environment? You might say that, but to be honest, I hate using plastic bags anyway. They're noisy. And non-fashionable. Ha!
Didn't I said I'm gonna show the rest of my bags collection? Don't worry, I will... Just watch this space. =)
