Something for the ladies.
From Sienna Miller to Jessica Lowndes, Blake Lively, Isla Fisher to Olivia Palermo, Matthew Williamson has become a synonym to one of the red carpet favorites. Not to mention the same frocks worn by Kim Catrall and Miley Cyrus in the SATC2 movie - they're also from Matthew Williamson. After more than four years having experienced the life on the red carpet myself - not ON the red carpet, but more to the sideline actually, ahaks! - I can actually tell what most of the celebs would choose to wear when they stepped in front of the fans and the army of snappers. Some might choose pretty simple chic dresses, some might go for bold colors, and some even went full of bling bling. But whatever they choose, one thing in their mind would definitely: this has to be a showstopper! Definitely.
Taking a cue from the red carpet looks and new Fall/Winter 2011 collection, I had my fingers on these couple of dresses by Matthew Williamson which I think will be seen on the celebs. Either movie premiere, or just just a get-together coctail party by some famous names - someone, somewhere might choose these frocks. I think it does have the RC-Factor - red carpet factor - not just on the simple silhouette but the main thing is the ensemble really 'pops'.
From the first pix which I think pretty much Balmain-lookalike, this could be anyone's favorite. Sequins? Check. Feathers? Check. Just the perfect length above the knee? Check. So, what's not to choose?
Or the strapless one with a bit hi-sheen and blue on soft black print. Simple but chic and suit for a party. Or do a bit of coverup and went for more sequins on the third dress. For those who's still in the mood for nude, plus a pension for feathers and ruffles, I think dress #4 is fantabulous.

Don't wanna trade the waters too much and do safe red carpet look? Then the turquoise wraps could be the choice. Simple, and yes... a typical red carpet (probably boring) look. Or wanna blend in but still pop up in front of the camera, the great print by Matthew Williamson maybe could be a safe bet.
So. Mentioning bet... dare to bet these dresses gonna be snapped on the red carpet by the papz? Yet, one thing for sure... no celebs gonna wear it with THAT boots (eeek!). It has to be Louboutin, Manolo or even a Choo, for sure!

Oh, just to add. For you guys out there who love their menswear, Matthew Williamson got a new SS11 collection in store. I think there's a tiny resemblance with his H&M collection before - the print-like suit, the stripe sweater (by which quite similar to the one I have in blue), and new addition, the leather jacket. It may not be as 'couture' like the womenswear, yet still have the essence of MW in it. Where to find? Online as well as at MW store in Bruton St, Mayfair, London and also in Harrods, Knightbridge.
