I've received some goodies from my Chinese neighbor yesterday: the mandarin oranges - sent to my house by their cute little boys. They believes that color orange which resembles 'gold' symbolizes 'wealth'. And I hope... this year brings all the wealth, prosperity and happiness to everyone.
That's what I like about living in this country. It's a melting pot of many culture, we have public holidays whenever there is a celebration like this. Eid, first day of Ramadhan, Chinese New Year, Wesak, Thaipusam, Deepavali, Christmas, ... everybody just enjoy having a break with their family and friends. And the best thing, there's always open houses done that let you in to enjoy all the food and delicacies of the one celebrating it. Something that I do not encounter when living in UK. (That's why people here are less stressful I guess, coz there's soooo many holidays in a year!).
In the spirit of solidarity, the livelihood of living together as one nation made everyone appreciate each other as the citizen of this country regardless what your skin color, your beliefs or your culture. And with the spirit of 1Malaysia (and 1World!)...
