Do men's fashion has to be discreet? I believe so. Up to a certain level, yes. Unlike womenswear which could go OTT with all the ruffles and beadings and sequins and bling blings... I think menswear should go a bit subdued. Way laying low compared to the fairer sex. But that doesn't mean we cannot be fashionable - or to put it in a right way, high fashion - coz we can and want to look damn good as well. So, if everything top to bottom remain subdued, which part of menswear could we 'play' around with? The accesories, of course.
Now, I'm giving you some on what I've mentioned before - my bags collection. I actually quite lazy to take the pix one by one coz they're all just been out from storage box yesterday. A big tea carton, the one that I stored 'em last week to keep it out of sight from my family who came visit. Well, to be exact - to keep it out from my big sister, coz I know if she saw it she'll nick it right away. She's a bag fan as well, therefore chances that some of my bags would be 'snatched' is pretty high if she found it!
Anyway. How many do I have? I dunno, coz again I never do the head count. Probably 50? That ranges from leather to pleather, nylon to fabric... tote bags to messenger, hobo to backpack... high-end labels to highstreet brands. They're all there to give me choices for what to go with what on a daily basis.
Is having many bags too much? Not if you eat, live and breath fashion. Ha! (yer sangat la kan..ahaks!) No matter what you wear that day, bags (and accessories in general) will complete the look. And as a very practical guy, I need big bags to keep my stuff in place. To me bags and shoes are my biggest vices: if I see what I like, I'll grab it that instant without thinking much. Price does not matter! Nggg....
In case what you're wondering what goes into my bag on daily basis, these are the stuff: my DSLR + digicam + netbook + wallet + clutch (that stores anything from external HDD + stationeries + some 'beauty products'). By no means they gonna fit in a smaller bag, aren't they? :)
