zaBigFatSnoop: He by Mango Spring '10

S

Spring has started early not just at Uniqlo, but at Mango as well. Though the winter sale season hasn't yet finished, He by Mango collection for spring 2010 is already in store. My verdict? After a couple of seasons most of the clothes end up on the bargain rails faster than you can say 'spring', I think the new collection is much more wearable and make more sense.

Not all are in store. Some of the pieces that I think worth buying include these shirts. One in green and blue with contrast peak collar, and the other is micro-stripes white shirts.

What I love about the green and blue shirt is the fit which is very slim and figure-flattering. The fabric is just awesome and it hangs just nice under the bottom. The best feature here is how high the collar is - a little bit like what Karl Lagerfeld wear. Unfortunately, the price is on the very upper side (>£40!).

Another shirt is this one tauted to be a slim-fit shirt. Unlike the previous two, this one is slightly looser and cuts well below the bottom. In my word - quite oversized. But it's all about the details too like the pleated side pocket, the colored edges (in either green or lemon yellow) and the microstripes which is pretty neat. Again, the price is also on the upper side (>£40).

But one thing that made me excited is when I see the bags! Especially this backpack in gorgeous denim blue and tan-colored trim. And when i said denim, it is true denim - in fact it is the jeans' fabric! Price, around £60 (yikes!)

So. Most of the debut spring 2010 pieces are quite ok. Think I'm gonna get the shirts and the backpack. But as true bargainista, I'll be a fool if I buy it now, coz if I wait for a couple of weeks to come, for sure either Grazia, Look or Glamour mag would do their '20%-off offer' that include Mango too. Ok, I'll wait. :)

Btw, sale is still going on. And I just love this jersey jacket by Adam Lippes for He by Mango which I think quite casual-sporty. It's kinda stretchy, and I like the way the pocket is located - slightly parallel to the side rather than very slanting like typical blazers. :)
