Gucci Diamante Hi-top Sneakers

Gucci Icon-temporary Pop-up store has finally ended in London. For those who missed it (that's me), well, you can have one more chance; book a flight to Tokyo coz it's gonna open next month. Where exactly? That will be announced soon by Gucci people themselves. I know the sneakers are one of it's kind, which you can't get at any Gucci store except the Pop-up itself. But to be frank, i dunno whether I can rock in those shoes coz most of them are quite 'merrier' - with lots of colors going on. Some quite bling, bling...and some with animal prints. I think if I can ever choose some - probably the tweed Gucci Ronson, or the polka dots (for London). Or maybe the silver Guccisima hi-top. But the thing is - I've missed it. Huhu...

Anyway, I'm lusting for another Gucci sneakers. The diamante hi-top for Fall/Winter 2010 collection. What I love about it? I love that it's a slim profile, and the color and the pattern of the classic diamante Gucci making it appear quite chic. Simple, but very Gucci with the signature interlocking G symbol. Whether this one is water-proof, that remains a question though coz the upper is fabric. The good part - it's available in any Gucci stores and also online, so you can buy it there. :)

If fabric is out of the question and you're afraid if it gets wet, then there's always the black leather in the classic collection with the green-red webbing on the side to add that Gucci flair to it. Or, the iridescent blue GG coated fabric with blue leather trim for the current SS'10 collection, which is made of coated fabric. Those for sure will be water-proof. :)
