Whenever I enter a store, there's always a danger that I might be spending my money like crazy. You know that song by Lily Allen that goes "I am a weapon of massive consumption, it's not my fault it's how I'm program to function". Well, I might be programmed to spend whenever I see something that I like. It doesn't really matter what the brand is, when it looks good and the price is right, hell yeah... that's where my money will go.
The other day while visiting Suria KLCC - the shopping mall underneath world's tallest twin tower, Petronas Twin Tower - I went in to Isetan which is having their 20th anniversary sale. I haven't been there for ages. Part of the decor has changed a bit, where they kinda rearranged stuff to make it more presentable. As usual, my first destination is the shoes department. Unfortunately all the shoes that they have really sucks - I hate when the toe is not pointy, they're all like square ended. What an eeww...
Next stop, the bags. OMG. They got such a wonderful collection of bags. I know right here in Asia, bag collection is something to look for. I always envy those Chinese and Taiwanese back there in my college when they slung such bags to die for. Which can't be found anywhere in the European market. At Isetan KLCC, I stumbled upon a special section for SEED. Again... man, how am I in bags heaven. They're all awesome. I'm spoilt with choices. But my eyes are on two new bags - coz some others I already bought 'em in the previous weeks. They were the totes in black and dark brown (the dark brown looks like the color of my Armani boots). Though they're pleather, it's so soft and really felt like real leather. What I like about it is the handle, very innovative to do a clip-on, rather than typical sewn-in handle. Since I can't decide which one to buy, I told the salesgirl I want both of 'em!
But it doesn't seem to stop there. When I went to the other side of the shelf, I found another bag. This one in brown. And it's real leather! I am so much in love with how buttery soft it is. The salesgirl said, this one is a limited edition - only sold at Isetan across KL. And that bag is the last one they have. What? So, without thinking too much I snapped it. I love the diagonal stitching which looks kinda Burberry or Gucci. And the texture is much softer than my old Bally's. And with discounts, what not to bring those bags home, right? Yeah, massive consumption!
So, it's a real crazy day. One trip, three bags in a go - that's a turkey, dude! Oh, I don't mean the real turkey, just a term that we use in bowling when you got three strikes. =)
