Oh my, GOSH!

S
This is one amazing lip glaze. Quite right though, I wouldn't spare a post just to say that. Gosh was among the sponsors of Romina Karamanea's London show and this was quite a special item that ended up in the make-up bag of a lucky duck I know.
Great colour and sparkly, wet shine, but it's certain details that make it such a gadget. Crystal clear mirror for touch-ups attached but also...
...tiny spotlights pointing straight to your lips so that these touch-ups are perfectly executed in the dark.
And a shaky demonstration:
Not sure it's convenience or the gadget aspect that impressed me the most. Does it matter? Impressed anyway.

Fresh Line revelation

S
My skin is what you'd call 'combination' which translates to 'very hard to please'. Fresh Line's Lemon and Jasmine face cleanser was such a revelation to me. Skincare is something very personal but do try it if your skin is demanding. Against animal testing, natural ingredients, my skin clean and happy. Happy price too at 3.17 euros. Also just tried this body milk sample. It was all that so I'm preparing a space for the real deal on my bathroom shelf. In general, I think sample testing at home is the only way to know if a product suits you. Wish it worked like that with shampoos too.

Estee Lauder vs Pink Ribbon vs Dukas - new bracelet out

S
Dukas Hatzidoukas has collaborated yet for another season with cosmetics giant Estee Lauder in creating the 'Pink Ribbon Bracelet'. Katia Dandoulaki, Dimitra Galani, Zeta Makripoulia, Maria Nafpliotou and Ivi Adamou are all joining forces by openly supporting the good cause behind it.

This time around it comes in pink and silver, with a cute velvet touch. At the symbolic price of 10 euros, it will be available at all Estee Lauder selling points from September 27th and throughout October. Profits will go towards supporting the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer - Alma Zois.

cool(er) beach bag

S
West Coast Cooler has boarded the Greek summer by taking as many fash-bloggers as a Golden Class projection room could fit, for SATC 2. This wine made a point about being inspired by girlie bonds but it's not all about style you can only watch in a movie (and afford in a dream). To put this in a picture, WCC created a beach bag full of colourful summer essentials and had it at our doorstep. It was like the Irish myth about a treasure at the end of a rainbow, only I get to keep the rainbow too. And got something fruity and fat free to toast with. Sweet.

Smack - the winners

S
The Smackers giveaway is now closed and all randomly selected winners have been notified via email. If you participated, please check your inbox (maybe spam folders too!). I have stopped announcing names by posting since quite a few participants do not wish to be named in public. Big *smack* and thanks to all, a new giveaway will soon be on it's way!

Smack! - A giveaway

S
Speaking of juicy lips these days, my lips get rather dry in this mad weather. Mad I try not to be, therefore I am not gonna walk in fuchsia lips during the day. Sweet pink is more like it and I found my little saviour in Lip Smackers. Even better, they come in more than 100 tastes, watermelon, ice-cream cookie, bubble gum and candy floss (!) to name a few.

And since 2010 began with a "hot" shade of pink for me, it might aswell start with a hot giveaway for you! How would you fancy receiving in the post three delicious smackers in a cute bag?

You know what to do: email me at aleccarox@windowslive.com, type "Smackers" in the subject area and your name as the message - no need to do this if you've signed up for my competitions list, if you haven't, make a note and I'll add you for future giveaways as well as this one.

Thirty parcels are waiting to be posted, one may be yours! Giveaway ends on Tuesday, 26th of January, at midnight.

Stuff I dag out on Lip Smackers:

*Bonne Belle started producing them in 1973.

*They are the only kind of balm/gloss that comes in such a wide selection of tastes.

*They are also known for collaborations with Coca-Cola, Fanta, Mars, Disney and Colgate. (Fanta roll-on gloss rules)

*They are collectors items (!) - see this.

*American product, made in the U.S.: a) you know I like it when companies produce locally, b) I am surprised this is not Japanese.

*Apart from my purse, they can apparently be found in the handbags of Lindsay Lohan, Sharon Stone, Halle Berry and Paris Hilton:)

*Features proudly: WE DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS.

Hot pink year ahead

S
Some say that if you look your best at NYE, you'll be blessed to look a million dollars throughout the year even if you're sporting rags and a saucepan. Err... don't know about that, but I do think it's important to wear at least one thing that lifts your spirits and shouts out "new". New year, new you.

For me, it came in the shape of a lipstick, L' Absolu Rouge #133 (Lancôme). Stayed on lips all night, in and out of glasses of bubbly, through all night cheek-kissing and luck-wishing. I think that after all the singing, smiling, chatting and ...munching it pulled off, my year has a great chance of being loud, happy, social and yummy:)

Let's see.
