Here's a peep from 'DRAmaTIC DISclipiNE', Celebrity Skin's a/w 11 collection to be presented at Athens Xclusive Designers Week shortly. Save the date: Monday, March 21st at 19.30.

It's going to be dramatic alright, with theatrical signature shapes revisited and applied on wool and synthetic fabrics, styled with saturated add-ons, all in disciplined shades of black and ash grey.

Scheduled to begin with a fashion film of approximately 6 minutes by Nectarios Karolos Papazacharias, starring 10 models as well as Eleonora Zouganeli, Ada Livitsanou, Isaia Matiaba, Penelope Anastasopoulou and Alexis Foukos. It's meant to be a visualization of Sinead O'Connor's song 'Troy', featuring people that pose a source of inspiration to designer duo Dimitris Strepkos and Eleni Barla for being "effortless style icons".

Giveaway Time: BigFatCouture Contest.

Milan has just made its curtain call, and now it's time to head north. Paris Fashion Week FW11 has just started! Holla! What's the collection gonna be? How's Louis Vuitton would compare to Jean Paul Gaultier? Or Hermes to Dior Homme? Would sombreness be broken and burst of color like in Milan would also be seen on the catwalk in Paris too. Oh don't forget - PFW also gonna feature Couture collection for SS11 if I'm not wrong. So, it's a chance to also see the immaculate work of Kaiser Karl for Chanel or Galliano for Dior strutting the runway in graceful high fashion manner.

Ok, enough about that. To celebrate Paris in hosting the second leg of Fashion Week, I'm bringing you my first giveaway contest. Yes, you heard it right: a g-i-v-e-a-w-a-y. The first one that's official, coz last time when I do the 'Ugg Boots' giveaway I'm not the one who's in control of the prize. If only I had £40,000

The first Christmas shop windows are already flashing and so is the length of my gifts list in my head, followed by stuff I’d like to shop or do for myself, that trip I want to start the New Year with. If only I had let’s say… £40,000?

Well that’s the amount one lucky PayPal user wins each week until December the 5th simply by paying via PayPal for her online shopping - the more times she buys, the more chances she gets, it’s a weekly draw! Here's a small preview of what you're about to see on the catwalk this Saturday, followed by parts of the official release:
Recreating the drapes of the garments on ancient Greek statues was seen as a challenge by the designer Elena Pavlou, who came up with the idea to convert these shapes into contemporary clothing. Thus, the concept “Fragile Stiffness” is the guideline for her personal label two in a gondola. Her aim is to create living statues in the city!

She uses three-dimensional cuts to enhance the natural flow of loose garments, creating a new and contemporary aspect of the draping. The whole look is playful and chic, dynamic while not aggressive, since the organic cuts create flattering lines for the female figure.

Clean forms, short jackets, cocoon tops worn with pencil trousers, balloon skirts and short dresses as well as bizarre overcoats comprise the collection Two in A Gondola – Prêt-à-Porter.

The designer’s proposal is accompanied by compact, sometimes heavy, fabrics, like Lana cotta and punto roma, or lightweight see-through silks and elaborated jerseys. Matt and glossy textures are combined in the same garment interacting playfully with the light.

Speaking of juicy lips these days, my lips get rather dry in this mad weather. Mad I try not to be, therefore I am not gonna walk in fuchsia lips during the day. Sweet pink is more like it and I found my little saviour in Lip Smackers. Even better, they come in more than 100 tastes, watermelon, ice-cream cookie, bubble gum and candy floss (!) to name a few.

Diane von Fürstenberg in Athens. TODAY.

In case you've missed this, Diane von Fürstenberg, the designer who made the wrap dress big (among other lovely creations) and current president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is in Athens as we speak.

A guest of Rakas Group, she will be visiting the DVF store in Kolonaki today at five and will hold a fabulous show tomorrow, presenting her S/S 10 collection themed 'Oasis'.

I was informed that the visit at the Xanthou Str. store today is open to the public so if you'd like to meet the Grand Dame of American fashion and/or snap some photos, you'd better get going!

Tomorrow's show will be held at "Theatron", Kentro Politismou "Ellinikos Kosmos".

I guess this visit is somehow special for Diane von Fürstenberg too as Greece is the birth country of her mother, Liliane Nahmias.
