Being a mother made her imagination bloom. Or maybe she's had it with her daughter stealing her shoes and accessories! 'Strigles Craftcrime' designer, Christina Aggelopoulou, has launched a colourful collection for kids, 'Striglitses'. Modelling for the catalogue, her beautiful child and muse, Divina. How sweet is this? She's got the look.
Oh, and this one is for you mama(s). The funkiest pop galore shoulderpad-brooch I've ever seen:
Handmade too. I bet if it went down some international catwalk on a t-shirt, it would be circulating fashion exhibitions by next season.

Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry, second collection

Fred Perry has just released a second collection under the creative direction of Amy Winehouse. Word is out that there's now a 5 year contract between the all-time-classic brand and the edgy singer. This season's pieces feature her particular 50's style projected on halter neck dresses and tie up bowling shirts, involving hawaiian prints and embroidery starring the artist herself. Seems like Miss Winehouse is more than a golden voice. Can't wait to see her in flesh at Ejekt Festival in Athens this summer.

Manolo Blahnik for TOUS

Before I even finished typing 'Blahnik' in post below, the latest achievement of the world-famous shoe designer arrived: TOUS has turned Manolo Blahnik’s “Campari” model into a jewel. Considered a cult item due to its sensual lines and link to films, it's now available to wear as more places than an ordinary shoe, meant to be loaded with the pulse of New York. I guess if you are to wear a brand logo around your neck, why not wear its iconic model as a miniature instead.

He's come a long way since the 12th Biennale of young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean in 2005 at Naples - Italy, where he represented Greece. Recently the press has been referring to him as the Greek 'Manolo Blahnik'. I think he has a very distinct, sexy and elegant style of his own. Here are some samples from his S/S 11 collection:

Stelios Koudounaris s/s 11 look book is just in. I'd love to post all 31 pages but I'll have to filter it down to my six favourite. Reminding you the collection is themed 'Le Prostitute Medivali'. You'll find no cliché prostitute connotations in it though.

"The point is not to be provocative", says the release. "Be pure, be authentic and push things to the limit if your self and your aesthetics oblige you to. The way a Prostitute Medievali would be". You can watch this collection's fashion film, here.

Nike FREE s/s 11 - video+news

Good news if you are a runner - in any way. Nike presents three technologically advanced models, Nike Free TR Fit, Nike Free XT Quick Fit+ and Nike Free Everyday Fit+, designed to improve your performance. Apparently you can choose among three levels of elasticity Nike Free 3.0, Nike Free 5.0, and Nike Free Run+ which is pretty close to custom-made for your kind of running activity.

The video is brief but gets the message across: in Nike Free you could be flying. Haven't tried them on yet, but I will. It's Spring, I fancy flying.

Looks a bit like united colours of... Missoni, but actually this is a very interesting video. It features 11 members of the Missoni family as well as friends of the house, including: Sir Peter Blake, Camilla Al Fayed, Jasmine Guinness, Leighton Meester, Jaquetta Wheeler, Jade Parfitt and Eugene Niarchos.

Toi&moi for Spring

With the fantastic Spring weather we've had during the weekend, it feels quite appropriate to post more s/s 11 news. Greek brand Toi&moi is introducing part of its Sping collection in the 'Just IN' section of its e-fashion store and it looks like this:
Featured items' prices range between 55 and 65 euros and are all brand new. Half-price winter sales are still on too.

Toi&moi eshop is online since last season and could well be a case study as it openly based its launch publicity on fashion blogs, introducing the section 'For Fashionistas'. Numerous Greek fashion bloggers posed their own way featuring part of the brand's collection. The aftermath was great news and Toi&moi travelled through its eshop to many Greek islands -among other locations- such as Ikaria, Corfu, Rhodes and Chios.
